Slip 'N Slide

The Sunday prior to the 4th of July was spent at Aunt N and Uncle G's house. For the first time ever, C did this:

The entire time he was there.

Whether it was with Dad, Uncle G, Aunt N, or A, D spent a lot of time on the slip 'n slide. We eventually had to switch from dragging him down the plastic with his hands to dragging him with his feet so that we could give his poor wrist a break.

It was nice to get out of the house and enjoy good food and yummy drinks with friends. Or is it yummy food and good drinks?

As well as watch the boys play with a few of their favorite people.

C spent the majority of the time in the pool, attached to his dad's legs, or attached to my hip. He's going through a Stage 5 clingy phase where I can't be out of his line of sight without him going into panic mode.

Which isn't to say that he didn't have his own fun.

But I won't lie when I say that I was happy when Kel took the boys home and I was able to enjoy some kid-free, drink (or two) -in-hand, good-friend Mommy time (thanks Babe). It was a great night, capped off with s'mores and a drink.
