Finally Friday

There hasn't been too much going on in the Walker household. For once, this has been a relatively quiet week.

Well except Wednesday. Wednesday was another doctor's appointment for C because he's been waking up SCREAMING every night this week. So to the doctors we went and sure enough he has another ear infection. In both ears. Fun. On the plus side he got weighed and is now 27 pounds. Which is in the sixty ninth percentile for a seventeen month old. Pretty awesome Buggy!

Even more fun are the midnight play dates with C when he can't sleep.

So other than sleepless nights with C and his doctor's appointment, this week has been quiet.

So I'll just end with some of my favorite pictures of the week and start preparing for tomorrow. Tomorrow, D is going to attend his first birthday party for his cousin H. It will also be his first time at a bowling alley so this should be fun.

 Still need to finish painting his "pink" Cadillac.

The weather was a little unpredictable this week. As one of my friends said, it was confused. Hence the t-shirts and pants in the first two photos and the heavy jackets and hats in the last two photos. 

Green Thumbs

This weekend, Kel and I decided to start planting in our backyard. I suppose you could consider this an instance where I wish I had paid more attention to my mother. She always had beautiful yards and while I enjoyed looking at them, I did not enjoy working on them.

Such is life when you are a kid. Now I know better. Or, wish I knew better.

Going to Lowe's and picking out plants was overwhelming. Which plants worked best in our soil? How about location? Which vegetable will grow the fastest? These were just a few of the questions that we asked ourselves as we meandered through the Garden Center. In the end, we just picked up some bell peppers that I knew I'd eat, tomatoes, and wild flowers. As Kel pointed out, these are our plants that are destined to die and therefore we will be able to learn from them as they grow.

Besides, it was fun to watch C help his daddy dig in the dirt.

On a side note (mainly because I want to add these pictures), C tried a juice box for the first time this weekend.

And loved it so much he wanted another one (which of course I did not give to him) .

Oh the joys of being a toddler.

A surprise visit from Nana

Last week ( I know I'm a bad blogger but last week was a busy one!), Nana came to visit us on her way home from Brawley. It's always nice to be able to see her, as she lives so far away now. D always gets super excited when she comes and is always asking when he'll see her again when she leaves. We miss you Nana!

I decided that it was time to get an updated picture of her and the boys, since the only other one I found was taken a month or so after C was born. So we headed out into the backyard, and I snapped as many as I could before C was just done with it all.

Not that he was ever into it, but at least I got one decent picture.

 

D enjoyed taking pictures with Nana so I was able to get a few more that I love. Some of which I won't post because I know Nana won't agree with me when I say that she and D look so cute together!

We love you Nana, and can't wait to see you again! Hopefully next time, you can stay overnight and you and Mom can enjoy a nice margarita :)

Bubble Boy

Is there some giant bubble that I can put C into? As Kel pointed out, we don't want two boys with broken arms. I don't want to even contemplate that scenario or what it'd do to my already frazzled nerves.

But C is seriously making it hard for me. Or maybe it's Kel, leaving things in the backyard that are better left in the garage. Like the ladder he uses to hop the back wall so he doesn't have to take the long way to work.

But this ladder was behind the storage shed, and out of the way of curious climbers.

Of course C would find it.

Does anyone have a giant bubble I can stick this little guy into until he learns more restraint?
